Built on seven hills facing the Tagus River, charming Lisbon is one of the oldest cities in the world. It showcases unique tram rides, intimate Fado performances, great dining venues and much more.
The city is famous for its districts: Belem's famous monuments; Alfama's labyrinth of streets, bars and small shops; and trendy Alcantara's docks. Lisbon’s most popular nightlife and shopping venues are in Bairro Alto, while the traditional heart of the city beats rhythmically in Baixa.
Enjoy a walk through Jardim Botanico, admire the architecture of the Jeronimos Monastery or explore the Feira da Ladra flea market. The Chiado area serves the city's best traditional Portuguese cuisine. No meal is complete without the famous pasteis de nata!
Getting to the city center is only a metro or bus ride from Lisbon Portela Airport. Whether you want a luxury hotel, a friendly guesthouse or a cozy apartment, Booking.com has plenty of accommodations for your vacation in Lisbon.

great city, fun with a lot of history - somewhat run down but at other area very nice. Get ready to walk even if transportation is good and easy as some place can ot be access otherwise. My mum would love it but would not be abble to make it on the very uneven sidewalks, and all the up and downs.

A wonderful, warm and beautiful city!
A wonderful, warm and beautiful city! We loved all the places we have been, especially Alfama, Belem and the towns nearby: Sintra, Cascais,.
It is very easy to travel with Lisboa card, by metro or bus or tram or even trains. We choose the restaurants based on google reviews and we were spot on every single time.
Avoid Belem on March 17 - is a marathon!! It happened this year and five years back when we first travelled to Lisbon, so it is clearly a repeated event. The best Pasteis de nata - Manteicaria! Definitely!

We liked discovering the culture, the habits and the Portuguese food. What was a bit difficult was: too many cars and lots of road and building works. Also, we were surprised to see so many people begging and sleeping in the streets. The metro is easy and great. Above all, we loved the free guided walking tour (you give what you want at the end, and this is a SUPER concept). Our guide, Rita, was extremely good: perfect English, good French, great humour, knew a lot about Lisbon and was generous in explanations and answers. We learnt more in 3 hours than in a week at school ;o)

We felt safe walking around the City and packed in a lot into our 3 days. The 'free' walking tour was excellent (Tours of my life from Praca Luis De Camoes) and over 3 hours learned a lot about the history of Portugal and Lisbon. Numerous small restaurants and the food was good. Easy bus ride out to Belem with a nice river walk back. Great to be in a place that was clean, with very little litter, and i even saw workmen repairing potholes!! A nice break from the UK.

Lisbon is a fascinating and accessible European city.
Lisbon is a fascinating and accessible European city. The culture and architecture are very impressive. Infrastructure is also very good. The core of the city as with most European cities was designed for horses and carriages. This a mixed blessing as it makes the place somewhat more pedestrian friendly but can make driving and parking a challenge. Prices are generally very affordable by continental standards. Food is good but not remarkable. There are very good selections of seafood and pastry. Beef prices have risen recently.
Every member of staff treated us so warmly, all so professional and a credit to the hotel. Pool and bar area are as beautiful as the photos show. The cocktails, bar food, and breakfast are as good as any 5 star hotel. Good sized room, balcony, bathroom. Fantastic shower. Thomas the Concierge took extra care of us, and when my sunglasses broke, the handyman repaired them. Any issues were addressed immediately. We watched the supermoon rise over Lisbon from the cosy bar seats. A beautiful place. Love this hotel.
Even better than the photos. Super spacious, great light and air flow, private and very quiet. Walk to all the sights , no need to use a taxi nor metro. Restaurants, cafes, grocery is nearby. I could have spent 60 nights in this apartment. It's equivalent to a 5 star hotel. Outdoor space is private. High ceilings , beautiful , solid quality furnishings , tastefully decorated. Kitchen has everything you need plus a Nespresso machine. I didn't cook because the restaurant food in Lisbon is delicious.
This place is perfect if your flight is delayed and/or if you want to be close to the airport. Staff went above and beyond to be helpful. The rooms were the best equipped of the 5 places we stayed in Portugal. The room even had a washer/dryer which was perfect since we were out of clean clothes. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Location was great for being close to the airport, which is what we wanted when our flight was cancelled. The hotel is extremely modern and new.
The host was extremely friendly and the communication was instant.
Easy commute from airport to the hotel - only cost €1.60 using the train.
The hotel is only 5 mins walk from the Lisbon city centre so it’s great.
The room was great too - massive. Really clean. The kitchen was spacious.
Our flight was 8pm but the host gave us a spare key for us to leave our luggage’s there and pick them up later after we checked out.
Everything! This is now our favorite place to stay at Lisbon, a 4 stars hotel with the quality of 5 stars. The design is so well thought, the room was incredibly comfortable and spacious, the staff was always so friendly and helpful. The heated pool is definitely a must-go! And the breakfast? Best so far! Its a place not for stays but for full Lisbon experiences. Couldn’t recommend it enough! Please always choose this hotel!
I loved the staff! They were amazing! Soo friendly, I traveled alone and they would help me with tourists spots to visit in the day. Accommodated my diet at breakfast and dinner.
The hotel facilities were amazing! Luster hotel and the team are 5 star ⭐️, top tier and made it one of the best vacations I have had!
Plus the bar is brilliant! Best cocktails🍹 you will ever drink! 💕💕💕💕💕💕😘
Very impressive accommodations and facilities. The beds, the room decor, the room arrangements, the bathrooms, it felt like I was staying at a really fancy AirBnB. The bathrooms are similar to what you’d get in some 5 star hotels, white, new, maintained, clean and in pristine condition. Definitely the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The staff are amazing too, and the location is perfect.
I like everything - location, staff, my room and breakfast. Everything was amazing. Personel was always very friendly and helpful. Hotel location in a city centre, very easy to get there from the airport. A lot of restaurants and coffeeshops in a neighborhood. 15 minutes by walking to Praça do Comercio - one of the most popular Lisbon attraction. I can't wait to go back there! ♥️♥️♥️
This was one of the best hotels we stayed in at this price range. The location was great, close to bus stops and train station. Lots of restaurants around and close to shopping malls. The room was big and very nice, had everything you needed. The breakfast was also tasty, a nice variety of foods and good coffee. For sure will stay there again if I would return to Lisbon.
The staff was super!!!
Very very helpfull, taking the time to help you with everthing you need.
Room was ckean.
I would stay here again.
Take a walk round the hotel, lots of restaurants and places to have breakfast.
Bus in front of hotel, going to and from the city centre (Alfama).
Uber is very cheap in Lisbon (from airport to hotel etc).
The service throughout the hotel was 5 star excellent.
The food in the Cervejaria Liberdade was AMAZING! The best sole I've ever eaten.
We wanted to try more restaurants in Lisbon, but kept going there because it was so good.
The SEEN bar has terrific views... but it's a "scene" and there is alot of smoking which kinda ruins it for me
The best part is the location of the hotel with close proximity to Parque metro station (Yellow line)and Picoas metro station (Blue Line). Similarly stores like Aldi and Pingo Doce are located close by. You can even walk to Eduardo park. My room was located on the fifth floor and i was able to watch landing planes on Lisbon airport.
The location of the hotel is fantastic in the center of Lisbon, 2 minutes for subway station near to some of the best Lisbona actrations, personel take care of you there are refreshents always available in the lobby . The breackfast is good served in a quite small room but not cahotic since very well managed by personel,
Amazing from start to finish! The staff were so friendly, so helpful and it was like a 5 star experience. Everything from the room, to the pool to the hotel restaurant was fantastic. We ate three times in the restaurant during our three night stay because the carbonara was the best we had tasted.
An absolutely fabulous hotel in the heart of Lisbon. Staff were helpful, super friendly (even the night shift) and the facilities were excellent. Quite possibly one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in! Congratulations to everyone at Browns Boutique Hotel, Lisbon.
Amazing experience. Great staff, amazing breakfast and exceptional room. Not very big, but super clean and had everything we needed. 5 star shower! But really the best is the location, in the heart of Lisbon, walking distance to all amenities. Definitely recommend!
This is not a 5 star hotel it’s better. It’s an authentic pensao. The location was good, the room was comfy but the best was the sweet woman who came down the 3 flights of stairs to greet me and carry my suitcase up for me and when I left down for me.
Very nice located in a beautiful quiet neighborhood. Very easy to travel by metro to the city centre or to the airport.
Fábio and Andressa are very friendly hosts, and are willing to help you to get the best out of your trip to Lisbon.
All staffs are warm and super polite, they are the best in all 5 star hotels I babe been in Europe. You can feel that
they really care about the their services. The breakfast is in high quality.
Best hotel option nearby Lisbon airport. Room was big, clean and well maintained and with parking in front of the hotel Very good service from the staff.
