This is such a special place to stay! We saw loads of wildlife around the property and out on the Safari. We booked two jungle family rooms for our family of 4 and they were spacious, clean and comfortable. The food was decent, drinks were yummy, and the service was great. They don't play music at the pool or restaurants and so you become attuned to all of the nature sounds around you. It's a wonderful place and great value!
"Yakaduru Yala is located on the buffer Zone of Yala National Park. It’s Just 5 minutes away from the Yala National Park Entrance.

the rooms were spacious, the food was delicious, the staff was wonderful...the experience of "glamping" in the national park surrounded by nature and no walls was quite exciting. The safari was fun, the food provided was great, and we had a BBQ night which exceeded our expectations.

This camping site is in a good position.Afternoon walk and afternoon tea are free so far, especially afternoon walk is worth to go for,I saw a lot of monkeys and birds, because we just walked beside the fence of Yala National Park.
The dinner is delicious, including a bowl of soup ,roast chicken and sea fish, dessert,of course it’s not free.In the night, I saw some of the fireflies.when I waked up,I heard different birds singing. It’s very nice.
You can take a hot shower in the tent.but the water is salty.

We visited Yala for two days (with two separate game drives - one evening and one morning one) and although we enjoyed the animals we observed, we did not have any sightings of leopards despite being the national park with the highest concentration in the world. But that is nature so we were just unlucky on those days. However, the most disappointing aspect of Yala was the sheer number of vehicles allowed into the park at one time. As soon as elephants or leopards are sighted, drivers communicate among themselves and vehicles all rush to the scene creating a massive traffic jams. This makes it feel very mass market and doesn’t seem very respectful of the wildlife

Terrible time. No wild animals as expected.
Terrible time. No wild animals as expected. Roads are all around the jungle which is pretty disturbing to the wild life. After all it is supposed to be a protected zone for wild life. Jeeps are crawling every corner of the territory. Amused to see all of that disturbing scenes in a wild life protected zone. It's like business zone. Poor animals.

I loved Yala.
I loved Yala. The number of different animals seen was slightly disappointing but apparently wash outs due to rain prevented us from accessing some internal roads. The sunrise and scenery were stunning. I would rate it as good value despite the lack of animals. The whole experience was wonderful.

The national park in Yala is beautiful however it is hard to drive around as the roads are poorly maintained. There is a large populatin of birds and i think this safari would suit bird watchers more than those who want to see the elephants. The 6am -6pm safari is too long.
Sigiriya is far superior when it comes to large herds of elephants.

The hike in the nature reserve was amazing, we saw lots of amazing animals and landscapes.
Were lucky and we were able to meet the tiger as well.
It is important to note that the trip should take drinks and food, the hotel staff where we were did not tell us the length of the trip and did not make sure to let us know that we should take care of ourselves.
Of course we were smarter and brought with us the necessary equipment ..
But there were those next to us who did not and that was unfortunate

We stayed at Laya Beach resort which was very beautiful and was very close to our safari's which made our stay even better.
The beach, however, was too rough to swim which was a little disappointing.
This is a great hotel and we had a very enjoyable 3 night stay. The location is excellent, less than 5 minutes from the entrance to Yala. The hotel is in a lovely spot - there is direct access to the beach and the pool overlooks a lake with buffalo, crocodiles, birds etc. The rooms are well equipped, a good size and very comfortable. Dinner is a choice of a la carte or buffet - the buffet food was excellent, very high quality and plenty of choice. The staff were great, very friendly and always smiling and helped us with a late check out.
We loved our stay. We were in Yala just one night and took advantage of the pool the first day and booked a safari for the next morning.
The hotel is wonderfully clean and well maintained.
But what was even better was the staff. We are both vegans and the staff did everything right for the dinner. We got a full set meal rice and curry with 6 different currys - even soy meat curry! And this was just perfect.
The sundown from our hotel room was just insane btw.
They also gave us a vegan breakfast to take with us on the safari!
We loved everything about this stay. Our suite was large and beautifully decorated. The photos of it were accurate. The view from the balcony was beautiful, across to the rice fields. The pool was fantastic, as was the adjacent bar area. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner there. It was all delicious. The best thing about this quality hotel was the staff. They were very friendly and helpful. There was nothing too difficult for them, and always served with a smile. I highly recommend staying at Wild Culture!!
Would recommend staying here for the Yala Safari. The host can organize for you with an experienced guide. When you get to the park the difference in experience is night and day between those tearing around the park and those which know to wait and allow the animals to come out. Can't fault the location either, super close to Yala with a little private beach. Apparently elephants and turtles both frequent the area too, but not when we were there.
Have never seen alive trees inside room. Had feeling that I live in camping but with all modern appliances and city comfort. Very friendly and helpful stuff and manager, who made our stay more comfortable than we expected! Recommend to get complimentary round trip first to see places around. Take a walk to sand dunes on sunset, visit Kirinda beach and town and ask to rent Yala safari from hotel only!
The lodge is really nice and well aligned with nature - beautiful view from the rock just beside of the main building. Very quite - just nature sounds. There is also a small and warm temperatured pool that invites to relax after a safari day in the yala national park. The staff is really friendly and supportive - always smiling. We really liked it here.
Very smart and spacious hotel. The room was fantastic, everything very clean and in good taste. The staff are extremely professional and friendly at the same time. Abishek at reception runs the whole place very smoothly and speaks very good English. They have a wonderful cook.
I enjoyed my six night stay, the room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were friendly, and the service at the free breakfast was fantastic, I would book this hotel this hotel again without hesitation. Thank you Yala Shadow for memorable vacation.
The Aqua Hotel offers a delightful retreat with its elegant ambiance and impeccable service. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and boast stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring that every need is met promptly.
The whole accomodation was almost private for us, with the great hospitality. The safari Niro has organized for us was exceptional, with the naturalist that explained us everything and with a bit of luck we have seen all Yala's mammals, includin the bear.
- very very friendly staff, they’re the reason the place is good
- the hotel manager & a person called “baba” were very nice & attentive. We forgot one bag there, they called me & delivered it to us in our other hotel, which we’re very thankful for
We like it very much because the owner Navin is very helpful and the house keeper Appu was a amazing cook and thoughtful, they also provide the Yala Safari tour, do enroll it , the safari driver was very professional, we even spotted a leopard 😙
The pool and the atmosphere of living right in the middle of the jungle. Elephants pass by the pool side . The hotel is very comfortable and very relaxing. The staff is super friendly . The hotel is very close to the safari.
This hotel, on the edge of Yala National Park is like a dream hotel. the staff are amazing and setting perfect and the wildlife which roam freely just make this hotel one of the best experiences you can have.
Such a different room (or I should say tent) style, eveything was as expected from a 5 star hotel. Stayed 1 night, breakfast & dinner options and taste were really good.
Amazing property, amazing staff and amazing facilities. Has to be one of the best hotels I have stayed at by far. There is nothing in this facility that I would change!
Warm friendly welcome from the owners.
Very helpful with a great knowledge about Yala.
500m from shops and restaurants.
Hotel is set in a lovely garden 😊
